Teenage Milestones

Growing up I recall thinking how the days couldn't pass by fast enough. Being in high school was something I wanted to be a memory instead of a reality and then, it was. How quickly the mindset reversed and went to how I wish I could turn back time and be in high school again. Can't we all recall those moments in our lives like that?

This past weekend I had the honor of capturing some of those high school moments that I can guarantee the students are living exactly what I described above. In their mind, the clock cannot move fast enough but when that clock seems to have fast forwarded, they have photos to look back at. On Saturday I photographed couples heading to their high school prom. That photo session was so surreal for me and it was my 'aha moment', the moment I knew for a fact that what I was doing was something I am more than just passionate about. It's something I'm meant to do. Their dresses, dress suits, makeup and hairstyles were all beautiful and I enjoyed every second of it. I hope you enjoy the photos once they're posted!

Sunday afternoon I met with a beautiful young lady who is graduating high school within the next few weeks. We laughed, talked and just enjoyed the afternoon while I got some portraits of her that she can look back on and remember what being a senior was all about. When I post them and you look through them, try and remember what it was like when you were a senior. If you currently are a senior, try and truly enjoy the moment you're in and really embrace it. One day, you'll wish you were one all over again.

Growing up so many milestones occur, once you've surpassed them what do you have as a reminder of those moments? A photo captures the moment in it's exact state, there is no reproduction. What moments and milestones do you have ahead of you that you wish you could cause time to stand still? I can't do that but I can preserve the time with a snapshot, contact me to book your session!
